Lo-fi Alternative Singer-songwriter

a really really good record - BBC Introducing WM

The antithesis of the classic music-wannabe, Patched Up Parachutes (Peter Williams) is a singer/songwriter whose repertoire of original material includes fast-paced punky songs, epic bluesy numbers and gentler introspective songs played on lo-fi electric or acoustic guitar. A late starter in music, his short time as a performer has culminated in recent support slots with Idlewild's Roddy Woomble, punk legends 999 & TV Smith and Steve Lamacq favourite The Humdrum Express.

What they said...

"The King of Unpop, Williams fuses lo-fi two minute thrash with blustery blues and endearing self deprecation"
The Humdrum Express
"a lo-fi pop project, full of instant hooks, choppy guitars and the odd rudimentary, yet infectiously charming programmed beat"
"witty, thoughtful and relatable lyrics set against simple yet memorable melodies. Williams demonstrated the skill to make the simplest of sentiments and tamest of topics interesting enough to get toes tapping and hearts smiling."
